Easy Poke Bowls
There are few things in life more satisfying than catching your own dinner.
This recipe is one of our all time favorites for fresh Tuna! You can also substitute fresh Wahoo in this recipe as well. Tuna Poke is seriously so easy to make, and requires NO cooking skills ;)
Poke bowls are a traditional Hawaiian dish that calls for just a few simple ingredients, but the combination is savory and satisfying! We like to kick it up a notch with our tasty homemade sriracha mayo and fresh garnishes!
Essentially in a bowl you’ll layer white rice, the Tuna Poke marinade, then add fresh garnishes to taste.
S O S I M P L E!
Like all of our recipes we don’t follow an exact measurement science, but more of a ‘season to taste’ approach.
As they say in Hawaiian, E ‘ai kāua! Enjoy!

Ingredients for Rice
1 cup of white rice (short or long grain, we like long grain Basmati or Jasmine)
· Follow preparation instructions on rice packaging

Letting the rice cool is Key, you want the rice and the Poke Mixture to be slightly chilled and close to the same temperature as each other.
Ingredients for Garnishes:
Cucumber, 1 diced
Avocado, 1 diced
Lima Beans (canned or frozen work great) 1 Cup
Pickled ginger (typically used as a sushi garnish)
Wasabi (typically used as a sushi garnish)
Mayonnaise about 1 cup
Sriracha hot sauce ¼ cup
Lemon, 1 sliced into pieces
Garlic clove, diced (or minced) about one teaspoon
Salt, sprinkle to taste
· Put mayonnaise into mixing bowl, mix in sriracha, and garlic. Squeeze in a slice of lemon, add salt to taste. Mix well. Let it chill in the refrigerator before serving.
Meanwhile…
· Dice Cucumber, put in serving dish
· Dice Avocado, put in serving dish
· Place lima beans in serving dish
· Set out your Pickled Ginger
· Set out your Wasabi
· Set out the rest of lemon slices
Now build your bowl: start with a scoop of rice, then layer on the Tuna Poke mix. Next add your garnishes. Drizzle with Sriracha mayo. Squeeze of lemon. Grab your chop sticks and enjoy!
